Autumn in the Texas Hill Country - Autumn in the Texas Hill Country along the Frio river as it flow through Garner State Park. This image was captured early one morning as i waded out into the cold river frio waters to capture this image with all the fall colors. For fall scenery there is no place better than the Texas Hill country. We had gotten to Garner early and the water was very calm and serene and it reflected the magnificent red to orange colors of bald cypress trees growing along the edge of the banks. You can see old baldy mountain with this nice blue sky and whispy clouds towering in the distance. In the Texas hill country there is no better place than fall at Garner State Park. Keep in mind that on weekends it can get very busy here and I know that in the summer the gates are close by noon many times on the weekends. 3657
