Giant Sunflowers Field at Sunset - This wonderful field of giant sunflowers were growing along the side of the roads for miles and miles as the farmers all seemed to decided to plant sunflowers for this year rotation crop. It can be quite impressive to find acres and acres of these giant sunflower along the roads. Texas farmers plant sunflowers as a rotation crop and sell them for their seeds and oil. These fields were just out side of Dallas Texas. Farmers do have a serious pest problem when they grow them of course, its photographers but other than that they are pretty hardy plant. We did notice many ignoring the signs that said no trespassing this is a crop that they sell, sadly some were even picking them. We never felt the need to stand in them and never pick them as this is someone lively hood and it just shows bad behavior. You don't have to get in them to get a good picture. We did read several articles about how people were coming on the farmers property without permission...
